Siódme Poty Teatru Festival

About the festival:

„Siódme Poty Teatru” – name of the festival, exists partly as an expression in polish language. It means „working up a sweat” and in the context of the festival it refers to struggle, determination and satisfaction in creating a theatre which aims to speak about important issues, touch deep layers of sensitivity amongst the audience and change something. The festival will promote different theatre forms – physical theatre, drama theatre, puppet theatre and movement theatre. /*

Siódme Poty Teatru Festival was the initiative of Living Space Theatre, organized in cooperation with Kluczbork Culture House. Main motto of this year’s edition of it is a quotation of an outstanding russian actor and pedagogue Michaił Czekhov, Anton Checkhov’s nephew, who told the following word to californian acting students :

“Don’t think that when you are acting in New York you don’t influence the whole world ; you do. When you are acting badly, you don’t influence anyone, but if you do something really significant, then you influence the whole world.”

By organizing a festival in Kluczbork we want to ifnluence the local audience and get them familiar with different theatre forms, which are not ignorant to what happens around us.

The event is funded by Gmina Kluczbork, powiat Kluczbork and Opole Voivodenship Government.
